The client wanted to host a live awards show virtually - maintaining the excitement of their annual event, traditionally held at Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London.
Requirements:
Top level production, each participant had a 10 minute pitch, judges room needed to be private and secure for decision making, seamless real-time interaction between presenters, judges and nominees an the audience were to submit questions and participate in voting.
Challenges:
All participants in remote locations, 10 minute pitches had to be pre-recorded to ensure high quality production, winners decided and announced live. To maximise the production we filmed each nominee with our remote Filming Kits and edited together their presentation with slides and animations. We controlled and managed all the participants dialling in remotely using our Vmix system, we then hosted the broadcast and viewers were able to tune in on the clients own branded webpage. In 2021 we will be working even more closely with CBI as they have asked MPG to take the entire competition online.
