Since 2005, Metro Broadcast has been providing live event services to the GB Rowing Team and, in particular, for the Annual Team Dinner and Awards Ceremony held every November at venues such as Twickenham Stadium and Lords Cricket Ground.
Rowing is one of Britain’s most successful Olympic sports winning 24 gold, 20 silver and 10 bronze medals in the history of the Olympic Games up to and including Beijing in 2008.
From its relatively humble beginnings, the Annual Team Dinner is now so successful that it is attended by over 400 guests with speakers such as Lord Coe and Sir Steven Redgrave.
Metro Broadcast provides a full technical production service including set design and build, lighting, multiple large screen displays as well as audio and video editing for the event.
The Annual Team Dinner not only brings rowing crews, coaches and guests together but acknowledges the achievements made that year with an awards presentation made by Sir David Tanner CBE, Performance Director of the GB Rowing Team.
