Earlier this year, the AIRMIC conference and exhibition at the Harrogate Convention Centre attracted no less than 1,800 business risk and insurance experts from across the UK. The annual three day event includes a panel debate, moderated this year by Cathy Newman from Channel Four News. With a creative concept already in mind, AIRMIC asked us to bring it to life on the main auditorium stage, at the registration area and in the creation of a unique conference video sting.
The creative concept for the conference’s New World. New Solutions theme was taken from AIRMICs flagship research paper focusing on the digital revolution. Our design team branded the existing registration area and created a backdrop with a built-in LED Screen which served as a teaser for the main set, still to be revealed.
On entering the auditorium, delegates were impressed with the floor-to-ceiling wide-screen. Using blending technology we served a wide variety of content across the breadth of the screens and banners.
Reflecting the theme, our bespoke opening video sting featured a black hole, into which today’s technology disappeared, then re-emerged as the technology of the new world.
New to the annual event in 2018, AIRMIC introduced The Learning Hub – a Thought Leadership Theatre which continues to prove a huge success. Designed and created by our exhibition team within the main exhibition area, the Hub allowed exhibitors to deliver short presentations using 50 silent theatre headphones.
